Students in our college come from both urban settings and traditional agricultural
backgrounds. They are first-generation, legacy, in-state, out-of-state and out-of-country
students. This diversity adds strength to the Ferguson College of Agriculture experience.
As a student in our college, you’ll have the advantage of being advised by a faculty
member working in your academic major. Embracing an open-door policy, our faculty
advisors will help you plan your program of study that considers your background,
interests and future plans. In addition to their teaching and advising roles, our
faculty members also connect with you through club advising and undergraduate research
scholar mentoring. With a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio in our college, our faculty
are able to invest time in every student and help them reach their academic goals.

will gain experience in and out of the classroom. Beginning your first semester on
